Hello and welcome to the sleepy bookshelf where we put down our worries from the day and

pick up a good book.

In our last episode we read the final pages of the mysterious affair at Stiles.

This was our first Agatha Christie story on the bookshelf so I would love to know what

you thought.

There was a lot to unpack in these last two chapters so we have created this episode

as a recap of what happened at the end of the story in case you fell asleep before we

finished.

I will do my best to wrap it all up here though if you are a fan of mystery novels I recommend

reading this one yourself to see all the clever clues along the way.

Be warned, this is a spoiler alert, if you haven't listened to the whole book and you

don't want to know how it ends yet then stop this episode now.

Pyro and Hastings sat in the library reflecting on the case.

Hastings had some unanswered questions and was disappointed that Pyro didn't bring him

in on the revelations at the time.

Pyro had known Alfred Engelthorpe was guilty when he realised it was widely known about

town that John Cavendish was the one having the affair with Mrs. Rakes.

In this case, why would Alfred have been hiding his alibi?

He realised that Alfred wanted to get caught as early as possible so he could reveal his

alibi and be acquitted as an England you cannot be charged for the same crime twice.
