December 24th, 2021 is mutual. My favorite word.

I think if I had to do a top five favorite words, I'd probably have deleterious.

I'd have diminimists. That's 2D words. Mutual would certainly be, it's not on the podium,

but it's a top five. In sports, mutuality. Mutuality of interest.

Writers like saying that because executives like giving that to the writers.

And agents do too. We've got interest in that team. And that team has interest.

In that player, there's mutual interest in that player.

Is that important? Think about this. Do players only sign for agent contracts

after there's been mutual interest? Does there have to be mutual interest?

Here's a shocking note, folks. There does not.

If you offer a player an amount of money that the agent calls you and says,

I know you're not going to do this. But if you go three years, $7 million a year,

he's going to be a Marlin. John Buck will be a Marlin. He's not interested in the Marlins,
