They are Yukon and Michigan. Norlander, it's late, bump the small talk. Let's take the games one by one

in the opposite order in which they were played because the second national semifinal,

oh buddy, that's something I don't think many people saw coming. Final score, Michigan 91,

Arizona 73, total destruction from start to finish in the spirit of a 30 for 30.

Norlander, what if I told you?

Yaxel Lindenberg would pick up 2,000.

The first 82 seconds would later suffer a knee and ankle injury that would limit the Big Ten player of the year to just 14 minutes.

Would you have assumed Arizona would win? Perhaps, but you'd have been wrong because everything I told you about Yaxel is true,

but Michigan still beat the brakes off of Arizona up by 30, one by 18. Norlander, what in the world was that?

It was an incredible night for Michigan fans and a massive bummer for the rest of the college

basketball world that was hoping that one of the all-time final four matchups could live

up to the hype. It did not even come close.

So as I do every year at the final four, because we got a podcast, I've got HQ after the second game. I always write off of the first game. But it's a, it's a busy, busy turnaround. But I wanted to be out here at the start. So I interviewed Dan Hurley on HQ, get what I need to get. I get out here. I got a little bit of copy done. I want to watch some of the game to start. And it's immediate, GP. Like, just the, they got off to a 10 to 1 start, I want to say. Michigan did. Yax, but Yaxel gets the foul trouble. Then he twists his knee. We think he's out. Is his season over?

Is his college career over? It just didn't matter. Michigan made Arizona look like it was

an afterthought of an opponent in the non-conference. Michigan reverted to players era, Michigan.

It logged one of the most impressive Final Four victories we've seen considering the opponent.
