You're very welcome to the weekend review on the final for a four-land podcast. No Darrell Jacob this week. He was live on Racing TV for a Luamba's debut. And no Lizzie Kelly. She's currently involved in the bloodstock world, helping out her husband with some major buys and major sales and best to look to them. So instead, we've got total performance data as Adam Mills. And for the first time, making his debut on the Final Furland podcast from the Be Lucky podcast, Darrell Carters alongside us. Darrell, you're very welcome to the show. Thank you very much for having me. It's good to speak to other human beings other than just myself on my own podcast. So I'm very, very happy to be talking to the outside world, |
| 1:14.8 | Emmett. it's good to speak to other human beings other than just myself on my own podcast. So I'm very, very happy to be talking to the outside world, I'm. You're like Bill Burry. You just do the show on your own. You rant off about whatever it is you need to talk about and you break down the races in your own unique way. But the show's going really well, though. Yeah, it's going really, really well. Yeah, no one else can put up with me, I don't think. So you're in for a treat for the next couple of hours. |
| 1:30.3 | But, yeah, look, it's going well. |
| 1:32.0 | It's a brand new show. |
| 1:34.3 | Obviously, stems from my Patreon. |
| 1:36.7 | And, yeah, if things are going really well, I'm in a great place. |
| 1:40.2 | The business is in a great place. |
| 1:42.1 | The podcast is going in the right direction. So, yeah, I only do enjoyable stuff these days, Emmett. Do you know what I mean? That's the only way to do it, Darrell. If you can do that, it's better for your physical health, it's better for your mental health, and it's just better all around, quite frankly. And also, if there's anything that you can learn from modern media, it's the |
| 2:01.6 | independent media is the way forward, which is why this new initiative for Friday nights on |
| 2:05.5 | ITV, where, you know, Gen Z, they're so obsessed with broadcast television, so I'm sure that's |
| 2:09.7 | going to be a roaring success for everybody. Anyway, how's that racing league going? Let's get stuck |
| 2:15.5 | into the review of the weekend. |
| 2:18.2 | The amount of gaslighting we've had to listen to for years. It's great. It's incredible. Everybody loves it. Yeah, okay. Let's start, first of all, with final demand, which I'm being told by many people, not just my own eyes, was the greatest chase debut that's ever been seen. that was literally the wording we had from Ross Milar who was supposed supposed to join us in this episode of the show. Hopefully he'll be on with us in the next couple of weeks. But he was devastatingly impressive. Now look, he was a wide margin winner over wigman in a grade one over hurdles. So it's understandable he would do the same thing to him over fences. But still, Darrell, that was a pretty flawless display from him on debut. Yeah, he was very, very good, wasn't he? Very good. He jumps a bit big and a bit bold, but he's going to be a three-miler. No need for him to be flat and quick over his fences. Big old unit, isn't he? And he just tanked through this. And there was a moment after the last. |
| 3:08.1 | And like, it's easy to get carried away with these performances, right? You can, you can pick them to death and you can say, well, he hasn't beaten anything, this, that and the other. But there was a moment after the last where he just stuck his head down. He was just galloping away and you saw Paul Town and sort of in the saddle where he was looking a bit happy of himself. and there was a little bit of eminence of a bit of galloping Deschamps the way he was just powering on. And he's a really, really nice horse to look forward to. He was putting in the anti-post markets as 9 to 4, you know, even back in sort of September. You can see why on the back of that, he's going to be very, very difficult to be. He's very assured in his jumping. |
| 3:41.3 | There was lots to like, really, in terms of sort of, I think he was, I think he was only about two seconds quicker than the Troytown. It was just a really good overall performance. I don't know what more you would have wanted from him. There's going to be people that are going to want to take him on. Of course there is. but for me, |
| 3:57.5 | yeah, |
| 3:57.8 | this was a, |
| 3:58.5 | there was a few 10 out of 10 debut performances. |
