I found myself saying, God, tell me what I know.

His response was, you are my child, my beloved.

I will not leave you or abandon you.

My word is eternal.

My word is living and effective.

My word is hope in hopeless situations.

And we are your podcast host, as well as part of the Storytellers Live ministry where simple life stories are helping women all over the country not only increase their faith in Christ, find freedom in Christ, but also build community among women.

And we do that through live gatherings that we have across the country that meet in homes.

Today we have a storyteller from Tupelo, Mississippi, and we have Emily Holman,

who if there is ever a story to inspire you to spend time with the Lord and learn scripture,

this is it. I know. You know, Robin and Lindy, God often layers stories for us. And with the

exception of Jessica's story on Monday, God has really been bringing us stories of themes of suffering and loss,

but he's also brought these stories with themes of storing up his word in our hearts and

focusing on his goodness and eternity. And so we have to believe that there is a reason,

honestly, behind this. And I think today's story from Emily is going to encourage you to,

as she refers to it, put oil in your lamp. You know, just develop the

habit of looking to God for strength and remind yourself the things you know of God to be true
