If you would go to Ephesians fifth chapter, for a few weeks now we've been on the subject of being filled with the spirit.

Anybody interested in that?

Being filled with the Spirit.

In Ephesians 5 and verse 18, it says, be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess, but be filled with the Spirit,

speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,

singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,

giving thanks always for all things to God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

As you look at the New Testament, especially beginning in the book of Acts and then through the epistles,

you'll see that God's plan and purpose for New Testament believers is that they

live a spirit-filled life. It's how the church began, and we're a part of that same church.

Now, the term spirit- filled has become a title and is used too loosely.

And it's lost its meaning in many circles.

It's, you know, spirit filled is not just just a designation not supposed to be like Baptist or Methodist or whatever.

What group are y'all, spirit field?

Well, spiritual people can be around you about five minutes and tell whether you are or not.

And just because you said you are, that doesn't make you.

Just because you put a label and just because you spoke in tongues one time long ago,

doesn't mean you are filled with the spirit today?

Now, he didn't leave you.

He's still there.

But you have to yield to him.

And you see the key to yielding in this word speaking.
