Jordan Love set to undergo a procedure later on this afternoon on his left thumb, banged his left thumb on a scramble Saturday night in their preseason game against New York Jets.

Crisis averted, though, I feel like at least it seems like it for Jordan Love.

Brian Goodycones, the general manager, said that Love should be able to practice next week.

And all should be good for week one when they host the Detroit Lions.

So Jordan Love will have his surgery, but Nick will talk about the Packers as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Cam Hayward was currently holding in at Steelers camp.

But I wanted to get to a few NFL training camp news items before we broke down some of the marquee games that we have tonight in the world of sports.

But what is this?

Day 75 of Matthew Stafford missing practice.

And we're not going to spend too much time on this one because we've talked about it

at nauseam.

But Matthew Stafford was not at practice today with the other quarterbacks at the start

of the session.

So hey, you know, Sean McVeigh can say whatever he wants to say, as I've been saying for the last two weeks here. But I think the big point here, and we're going to talk about this a little bit later on with the awards, we're going to get into offensive player of the year, some more defensive player of the year a little bit more as well. We're going to do coach of the year tomorrow. This Stafford injury impacts like all of those. And maybe it boosts up Sean McVey a little bit if Stafford had missed some time. And the narrative starts to build of McVeigh getting it done while Stafford was injured. Like you know, like you can, these things can go in so many different directions. But I just want to go ahead and pass along that news item that Matthew Stafford did not practice today as we

continue to wait and wonder and I guess hypothesize when he's going to return and what he's

going to look like when he returns for the Los Angeles Rams.
