How are you doing?

You know, I've noticed that the Sox have a real hard time hitting good pitching.

I mean, J.D. Martinez, he's one guy that can hit it. But when they, like,

when they face the Yankees and Houston, they got to win like two to one. They just don't hit good pitching. You know, and it's always been their problem. They can hit all these

garbage pitches that they face with these teams that aren't very good. But when they play like the Yanks and the Astros and the medal, they don't hit good pitching. Okay. They never did. Ernie, let me ask Mads if he believes that. Because I don't think that's true. No, I think they're better at it than they were. In the early part of these guys' careers, I would have agreed, but I don't think it's true anymore.

I mean, you can't pitch to bets. No, no, you can't pitch to Bates anymore. And you can't pitch to J.D. Martinez. Correct. And J.D. Martinez is a huge factor there. Like, he's changed the lineup. And I think situationally, they've improved. Like, Bogart's has been one of the best guys in the league and runners in scoring position.

Even Moreland, I think, has improved.

Like, you know, so there

have been developments there.

First of all, if you get an extremely well-pitched game against you, nobody's going to hit that guy. Okay, that's sort of the point. That's why a great pitcher is worth as much as he is, because they're impossible to hit. So, like, overall, I feel they're better at it. But what I worry about with them

is that they feel to me a little bit right now, like a high flying, you know, greatest show on

turf. Bingo. Bingo. When they face a matchup bullpen with a manager that knows what he's doing,

that's trouble for everybody, by the way. And I'm not just telling like, that's a you, that's a you problem.

But that's a problem. Yes. And that's something they just have not faced this year because they're blowing teams out or they're playing teams that are tanking. And they've had so few situations where they've had to go against the thing they had last night, which is a matchup bullpen and a manager who has a clue and his evil henchman, Millsie, sitting right behind him, telling him exactly what to do. It is trench coat. Seriously. Alex Spear wrote this last night or the night before. I think it was yesterday. Has a Red Sox weakness been exposed this week? You know, that's the headline. And it's really basically that. Now, the Red Sox numbers against bullpins are good. But then he gives you their numbers late and close. So what is that? Within three runs in the last three innings, something like that? There's some parameter. But there is a category on baseball reference. Other was clutching late, but they call it late and close.
