Again, we began the show today with a simple question.

Okay, do you think the Patriots are going to get back to the Super Bowl?

Will they get back to the Super Bowl?

Will they win the Super Bowl?

And to increase the stakes even further, will they win the Super Bowl?

And honestly, the part of it that interests me more, particularly from Patriots fans, is if not, why not? Because, again, if you're a blind loyalist, there's really no point in talking to you, frankly, because you're just going to say, and Bill I trust, or they'll figure it out, or the league sucks, or whatever, and that'll be the end of it. But if not, why not? That's the part that interests me more than anything. Even the diehards, even the loyal fans, you must look at this team in some way, shape, or form, and say they're a little thin there. They'll figure it out, but they're a little thin there. I want to hear you tell me which part you think is thin. That's the part. For me, I told you, if they don't get there and I don't like the odds, just from a pure math standpoint, to get there five out of six years and win four of them feels like a mathematical impossibility to me. So I'll take the under. I'll say no. I don't think they're going again. I just think that I just can't imagine that everything will fall in for them again. But God knows I could be wrong. It happens all the time with this team. They defy the odds. They defy logic constantly. But to me, if you ask me me why not, I would tell you that I think something will derail the passing game. If they don't get there, it'll be because something in the passing game doesn't work. Not enough weapons. Left tackle, which concerns Murray. Brady's not as efficient as he used to be. And if you go by the numbers, he was in the middle of the pack last year. To me, it'll be one of those things. It'll be related to the passing game because they didn't throw the ball well in the Super Bowl. And frankly, if you look at it, save for the fourth quarter and overtime. And I know that's a big if. Brady wasn't having a great AFC championship game either. He was pretty good, but it wasn't great.

All right, man. I've got a question for you. Do you think that the league is better now than it was in 2011 or worse?

I think there is more talented quarterback in the league than there was then. How about that?

Do you think the Patriots are better or worse than they were in 2011?

2011, I'd say they're about the same, maybe a little bit better.
