But first, in 2011, psychologist Darrell Bem

rocked the scientific world by publishing a paper called

Feeling the Future. The paper reported the results of a series of

experiments Bem had done on whether humans have the ability to subconsciously get

precognitive information about the future. The experiments strongly suggested that they did,

and that the odds were billions to one against this being due to random chance. Skeptical scientists

were shocked. They demanded that other scientists replicate the

experiments. And when other scientists did just that, Bem's results held up. But skeptics were so

unwilling to accept the results that articles began appearing that announced science must be

fundamentally broken. So what were Darrell Bims feeling the future experiments?

What were the results they found? And what has happened with a controversy over them?
