Summary

This week on Two Parents & A Podcast, we’re talking about one of the biggest journeys of year one: feeding your baby. From what it actually feels like when your milk comes in (spoiler: flu-like) to transitioning to combo feeding, to introducing solids and eventually dropping bottles — we’re breaking down what worked for us, what didn’t, and what we’d 100% do differently next time. We get into all the real stuff: middle-of-the-night pumping (don’t do what I did), my experience with DMER (Dysphoric Milk Ejection Reflex), how a night nurse helped (for Harrison, not me LOL), and the partner’s role in supporting breastfeeding and pumping. Plus tactical things like grocery hauls, our favorite hacks, and a rapid-fire round of the best (and most overrated) products. Before all that… Halloween costume brainstorming (!!! sorry we had to bleep it lol) and our BIGGEST milestone yet — Tate is officially walking (and yes, she needed her first real shoes, cue the tears). And in Things We DMed Each Other: why queen-size beds might actually save your marriage (did Matthew McConaughey have a point??) and our thoughts on the dreaded “black tie optional” dress code (aka the most confusing vibe check ever). LOVE YOU GUYS — thanks for following along through our first year of feeding, learning, and figuring it all out with us. Kind of sticking on that theme. Month by month of how it was.

0:57.3

Yeah. Well, this feels like something that you've talked a lot about consistently throughout the journey and

throughout prior episodes. And so I think it'll be really interesting to hear you bring it all together here today. Well, it consumes your every thought, right, as a mom. So it's like all we talk about. Like today, the neighbor mom and I were texting constantly about like what kind of milk we're going to buy, right? Like feeding your kid is such an important thing. But the breastfeeding, it's just, it's a bunch of unknown. So we're going to dive into it. We're going to break it down month by month.

And it's going to be great. But before that, we're obviously going to sit here and shoot the S-H-I-T. I was wondering why we didn't do like the pre-intro. Normally we kind of do the banter before. We just went right into it today. Do you want to know what I'm upset about? I'd love to hear.

And I'm not a big, I'm not big on pop culture. Okay. Shocked, floored and beside myself that Keith Urban, okay, I'm blanking on her name. Nicole Kidman. I like know her so, yeah, Nicole Kidman. I cannot believe they broke up. I'm shocked. Me as well. I couldn't even have told you that they were together.

They're like 20 years? Yeah, one of Hollywood's longest standing couples.
