in the deadly afternoon heat? Well, he's taken a plea deal. But first, the Italian mob and the fixing

of NBA games. Let's get into it. The third week of October was a long-awaited tip-off to the

2025-2020-6 NBA season.

And although the NBA has seen better revenue years,

the newly inked $76 billion broadcast deal was a promising bright spot for star athletes

looking to bolster their images and make more money off of brand deals.

But just days after the opening games for the 30 teams in the NBA,

arrests were being made in Brooklyn and Las Vegas and Florida and Oregon,

involving all-star players and a potentially Hall of Fame coach.

Men who usually only tussle on the court. That was until they got

involved with the infamous five Italian mob families centered in New York City. Now to grasp how the

mafia ended up court side in 2025, you have to trace back to some blood stains that happened in the

previous century. Sports betting scandals aren't new to

America. In 1950, Sol Levy, an NBA referee faced seven criminal counts related to fixing games.
