And so key talking points here, the U.S. may already be in a plain vanilla recession.

Right, but and I would add to that a plain vanilla recession that could all

recessions start off plain vanilla. Remember, the GFC, the NBEER didn't announce it until December of 2008,

but when they came back, they said,

oh yeah, actually we've been in a recession for almost a year

they pegged the beginning of the recession as January right around January of 2008 so

right around the beginning of 2008 so back then that was before Lehman, Bear Stearns, all these things. So back in January, February, March of 2008, sure, we were in a plain vanilla recession back then

as all that plain vanilla recession turned into a rocky road

very, very quickly.
