Kevin D. Randall, back in the early 50s, we didn't talk about Roswell or crash retrievals that much,

but there was a book out 1950 thereabouts from a variety columnist, a gossip columnist, called Behind the Flying Saucers.

What picture of crash retrievals in New Mexico did this paint?

The problem is Scully originally published a couple of columns in variety about crashes,

I think as early as 49 or 48, 48 or 49. And he placed them in various locations.

He got hooked up with Leo de Bauer and Phyllis Newton, two con men,

and put together the book called Behind the Flying Saucers.

Now, what's interesting, and nobody really talks about,

is the locations of the crashes in the book are significantly different

than the crashes in his column are significantly different than the crashes

in this column. So he's changed the story at that point, but behind the flying saucers,

which talked about a crashes in Paradise Valley, Arizona, one in New Mexico at Aztec, New

Mexico, which even got a mention in Time magazine in January of 1950.
