Hi, friends. I'm Annie F. Downs. Let's read the Gospels. The Gospels are the first four books of the New Testament and the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

These are the stories of Jesus Christ's life on earth, the friendships, the parables, the sacrifices, the meals, the miracles.

We'll read three chapters a day, finish in 30 days. We're going to do this every month so that we will read all four books 12 times. Obviously, February is a little different.

We've got to finish in 28 days. So you've noticed that we've already done four chapters a day, a couple of times, and we'll do it again coming up with the Book of John.

So go ahead and subscribe today. Join us as we read the Gospels together. I hope you'll be with us all month. But something we say around here a lot is you don't have to read or hear the Gospels every day to be changed.

Okay, we are going to read three chapters today. You can listen or read along in your own Bible. Then I'll pray and that's it. So today is February 19th, day 19.

And I'll be reading Luke chapter 13 through 15 and the translation I'm reading from this month is the ESV.

Luke 13. There were some present at that very time who told him about the Galileans whose blood pilot had mingled with their sacrifices.

They answered them. Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered in this way? No.

I tell you, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. Or those 18 on whom the tower and salon fell and killed them.

Do you think that they were worse offenders than all the others who lived in Jerusalem? No, I tell you, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.

And he told this parable, a man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard and he came seeking fruit on it and found none.

And he said to the vine dresser, look, for three years now, I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree and I find none.

Cut it down. Why should it use up the ground? And he answered him, sir, let it alone this year also until I dig around it and put on manure.

Then if it should bear fruit next year, well and good. But if not, you can cut it down. Now he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath.

And behold, there was a woman who had had a disabling spirit for 18 years. She was bent over and could not fully straighten herself.

When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said to her, woman, you are freed from your disability.

And he laid his hands on her and immediately she was made straight and she glorified God.

But the ruler of the synagogue and dignit because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath said to the people, there are six days in which work ought to be done.

Come on those days and be healed and not on the Sabbath day.

Then the Lord answered him, you hypocrites. Does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the manger and lead it away to water it?
