And we thought we'd dedicate a whole episode to nerding out over our favorite school supplies, both for kids and moms, whether going back to school in person, virtual learning from home or homeschooling.

Let's focus on the smell of freshly sharpened pencils for a bit, shall we?

Sounds great. Okay. The positive things, right? Yes. Okay. So what is back to school shopping

even looking like for you guys this year? Okay. So we are actually still waiting for our school

supply lists for the distance learning that we'll be doing

since we are not starting until about mid-August and our school district is starting early

August. So I think they all have their school supply lists and stuff. So we don't have our list yet.

So I am actually not sure what to expect and And especially since we will be doing a charter school,

anyway, I have no idea what that will look like. But I do know that it will most likely just be a target pickup order or an Amazon order. It will not be the one-on-one school supply shopping and lunch dates that I did last year and was kind of excited to establish as like our back-to-school tradition with the boys.

And I am also just anticipating maybe some different supplies, like some headphones, like mouse pads and external mice so they don't have to

use the track pad on the computer so anyway it definitely is going to look a little different

yeah some more technology probably and less less in person fun um yeah for us we it has looked like

a budget for curriculum and books, a hefty budget.

It's not cheap, turns out, to homeschool.

But I have really enjoyed it actually because I just realized I've gotten away from kind of adding books to our collection, partly because they were in school and got a lot of that at school, partly because

they're at this, these ages, like going into second and third grade, their needs were

changing so fast in terms of what they needed from books that it felt like they weren't quite

ready to have these like, you know, more robust, like resource type books like atlases and

fun stuff like that or,

or that we wouldn't get our full use out of them. And they weren't really into like chapter

book series yet or just starting to. So I just hadn't, it was easier to just use the library because
