Summary
How are we defining a "mid-round" pick and who are some of our favorites? You can expect a number of rookies to come off the board here, but the veteran QBs are great values. What about James Conner and Chase Edmonds?

| 0:15.6 | I love this music. |
| 0:16.8 | Yeah, Dave's got the theme music going here. |
| 0:20.6 | So, yeah, you're not going to be successful, Dave. You got to nail those mid-round picks. At least get a couple of good mid-round picks in there. You know, just get one good mid-round pick. Hey, before you respond, Dave, I do want to tell people about some programming. Next week, we're going to do an Apple podcast mailbag. So Apple Podcast Review Mailbag, leave us a five-star review |
| 0:39.7 | in fantasy football today in five with a question and we'll read it on the show next week. |
| 0:45.3 | So Dave, mid-round pick, I'm defining. You can do whatever you want, but I'm going to say round |
| 0:49.8 | six through nine in a 12-team league. Who are some of your favorites? |
| 0:54.5 | Yeah. |
| 0:55.2 | Well, interestingly enough, I don't have a lot of receivers to give you |
| 0:58.8 | because I just think that position is deep and you can bake in how you draft your receivers |
| 1:03.0 | into whatever strategy you choose to have if you choose to have a strategy. |
| 1:06.8 | But I'm always interested in finding running backs that I think can have some good upside |
| 1:10.7 | in that round six to nine range guys that can overcome this dead zone that we've kind of talked about. And two names that jump out at me are Chase Edmonds and Leonard Fournett. I think they'll be the leadbacks for their respective teams. Not sure if Edmonds has a chance to score a lot of touchdowns, but I do think he's got a chance to catch a lot of passes. That makes them helpful in PPR. This is going to be a Kyler-Murie centric offense, but I think Edmonds will get a bump in the playing time they has. And then why would the bucks bring back Leonard and Fournett if they're just going to give Ronald Jones a lot to work. I think Fournet will be the first guy up, maybe a little bit more of a zero |
| 1:45.6 | RB type of guy that you'll draft, a running back that could be disposable, but I like him. And I also like Michael Carter. We're going to talk about him a ton with the Jets. Now, I've got some quarterbacks at him, if you want to hear two quarterbacks that I'm really excited about. it's both of the rookies from last year Justin Herbert and Joe Burrow |
| 2:04.2 | Herbert two quarterbacks that I'm really excited about. It's both of the rookies from last year, |
| 2:02.8 | Justin Herbert and Joe Burrow. Herbert is someone, I'm kind of sort of targeting. I love the |
| 2:08.5 | layout form in L.A. The fact that Joe Lombardi is the offensive coordinator, his track record |
| 2:14.0 | is a play caller that throws a lot of passes. Brandon Staley, the new head coach, saying that they're going to build all around Justin Herbert. And look at what they did in the draft. They didn't add any serious capital to the run game. I don't know if they really had to. They had Austin Echler, but Echler, more of a pass catcher than a bull in a China shop. I think Justin Herbert's in line to do better. I think he's got room to jump in his efficiency metrics. We'll talk about that down the line. I like him a lot in Burrow, kind of an easy guy to go with just because they got Jamar chasing at wide receiver. You saw him throw 40 passes a game through those first 10 games. This is going to be a Bengals team that throws the ball a decent amount, including two its running back, Joe Mixen, who they're saying is going to be a three down back. Burrough is going to be the star of that offense. I think this is a great range for quarterbacks. I think you'll see Dak Prescott and Russell Wilson in some drafts, at least right now, based on the draft we did on Wednesday, fall to this range. |
| 3:10.8 | I don't think you'll see Kyle Murray make it pass round five, but it depends. |
| 3:13.9 | Every league is different in how they draft quarterbacks, but I think when you talk about a pretty big tier of guys who could potentially be elite, there are going to be a lot of |
