I am most honored to bring to you today a most important interview with Bishop Joseph Strickland of the Diocese of Tyler.

It couldn't be more timely because this very Friday on March the 25th, the 28th anniversary

of John Paul II's consecration of Russia will be redone, if that's the proper verb to use.

We'll talk about it today.

And Bishop Strickland joins me today.

Thank you so much, Your Excellency. I'm so glad to

have you back on the show. Thanks, Timothy. Yeah, so you've been on before. I interviewed this

morning, Bishop Athanasia Schneider of Kazakhstan. He'd never been on the show. And just to put it lightly, you and he were the foremost

of all of the world's bishops out there on social media applauding Pope Francis's efforts in

consecrating Russia to say nothing of the fact that this has been attempted seven times before.

And you really supported Bishop Schneider in his call for prayer leading up to Friday's consecration.

Why does a consecration, which is itself a set of prayers, why does that require prayer for those of my viewers who don't understand the

full context of the situation? Well, that's a great question, Timothy, because I think a lot of

people have the impression, especially not Catholic or maybe not so deeply Catholic that it's like,

you know, I've even heard people say,

oh, well, you know, it's some of that Catholic magic.

And it's just like offer this prayer,

and then suddenly the world changes.

And certainly, you know, I think hopefully

Catholic or not, people realize that that is not our faith.

That is not what we believe.
