Each week, I gather anonymous confessions from my listeners around the world who've existed in elusive

subcultures, ventured down the road less traveled, made serious mistakes, and achieved extraordinary

victories. Some of them call my hotline and others will send written stories for me to read.

These confessions are raw, they're honest. They're even downright

shocking sometimes, but they always deliver the most incredible life lessons and encourage us to

consider why we're all so afraid to be different. On the heels of New York Fashion Week and in

the thick of fashion month, I thought it was a good

opportunity to elaborate on and re-release this episode from season one about the fashion industry.

Let's get into it.

Most people who follow me on social media will remember that last year, I made a video at Courtney

Kardashian's show with Boohoo during New York Fashion Week. For those of you who are blissfully and

ignorantly living under Iraq, Boohoo is a fast fashion brand that churns out incredibly inexpensive on-trend

clothes at an incredibly fast pace. They often partner with reality TV stars and influencers

on capsule collections, which means that said reality TV star or influencer makes selections from a

collection of designs and styles and colors and then slaps their name on a line of clothing

without actually really needing any sort of fashion background. It is a mutually beneficial

relationship for both the brand and the so-called talent.

But in the case of Courtney, Boohoo brought her on as some sort of sustainability ambassador,

suggesting that she was going to help improve their environmental footprint.
