And while the Met Gala has now become one of fashion's most anticipated and ultra-exclusive

red carpet or pink or green carpets in the last decade or so thanks to Anna Went towards direction of the

event. Did you know that the annual fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Arts

costume Institute is actually more than 75 years old.

Yes, this is correct and I have to wonder now that it's 75 76 years old at this point,

I wonder if this is why the purported price of this year's ticket to the

gala correspondingly cost a whopping $75,000. That's right. Ticket, $75,000.

I think last year it was 50.

And that is you get the honor of paying the $75,000 if and only if you're invited.

So, adjusted for inflation, that's more than a 1,000% increase
