And as we kick off a new year on the podcast, I can't think of a better time to talk about

today's topic and that's the priority that family should take in every leader's life.

Yeah, Lane, this is a big topic because as leaders, we all feel the tension between

work and family and especially leaders who are leading organizations.

You know, you love your organization, especially if you started the organization like we did,

you love it, you love your family, and there's just attention.

So what I wanted to do today is not so much talk about the balance.

We've talked about that before.

There are four things that Sandra and I have learned through the years that have been extremely

helpful to me as a leader, not just a parent and not just work and family balance, but as a leader of an

organization.

So I wanted to share that with our audience today.

And as you said, it's a great topic as we start a new year.

We've been married 25 years.

We've got our two sons are in college,

our daughter's a senior in high school.

So we are at the edge of that empty nest season,

and we're looking forward to it.

We're still in love with each other.
