Happy to have you here. If I seem vaguely familiar, you've probably heard me talk about Rachel Hollis one time in 2021. I've been doing this going on nine years. I'm a host of best-selling author.

I feel like I do other stuff that doesn't feel important right now because let's just talk about

the story at hand. But yeah, otherwise, be there in five is a very, very well-regarded.

Prominent voice in the true crime space. No, I literally can't talk about true crimes. A series even being billed is such as a reason for me not to listen to it. Like, I don't have the nervous system regulation. And I'm kind of even surprised I'm going into this because even as of this time last week, I was like, I don't think I'm interested. Like I didn't know the story beyond the

headline of like Clayton Eckerd paternity scandal. And I was like, okay, bro, step up to the plate

if it's true. If it's not, oh, somebody's exploiting somebody else's fame. Like another,

another, another bachelor contestant in my way from the Bachelor nation multiverse that, you know,

I kind of have dipped out of in the 2020.

So I'm being honest, but it's hard for me because it really is so central to so much of my

experience on social media, given my devotion to former contestants like Emily Maynard and

her informing my nail polish color to this day or, you know, the likes of Tenley Moles on

and her role in the toned up community.

Another schizelm I simply can't get over that has nothing to do with vaccination.

So to back up, today's episode is about Love Trapped, the viral investigative podcast about

former bachelor, Clayton Eckerd, and a woman named Laura Owens and the many people left in

her wake as a result of her behavior and abuse of the legal system.

And it's an interesting story that was like a paternity case headline that then became a kind of niche Bachelor Nation, like Reddit community type of vibe where media personalities in this space like really took it on.

And it took on a life of

its own. I guess just I don't even know how it went under my radar because this story's so crazy,

but I really never heard about it after like the initial headlines. And so many of you,

so many of my friends, my sister, Clarit the muffins, everyone's like, listen to Love Trapped. And I just, I don't know. I really had no idea how deep it ran and how long this has been going on. And today we're going to interview Stephanie Young, the host, creator and producer of Love Trapped. She's a journalist who spent over a year reporting this story, and I think did a really great job in doing so. And imagine my delight when I learned that Stephanie was a long-time listener of this podcast. And I was like, I should reach out and see she'll come on. Because I think it's really interesting to hear from the creator, the producer, like, how this it's interesting to me to hear about how this story was told because there's so much to it. And I thought the cadence and the way it

unraveled was really engaging. I also thought it struck a balance in tenor and tone and, you know,
