After being called out for its questionable fact-checking practices, Facebook is now saying its fact-checks are actually “opinion” and therefore immune to defamation lawsuits. Apparently, it really never was about facts, but about the feelings of the fact-checkers. After New York announced an indoor mask mandate, California is now following suit, ordering a statewide indoor mask mandate that takes effect on Wednesday. If it didn’t work the first time, just keep putting on that mask and don’t ask any questions.
