And I'm speaking with the one and only Mary Greer.

I'm really excited to talk about this.

This is such an interesting topic.

So I want to talk about the first time I was introduced to

the whole concept of face-up tarot cards was actually your book, tarot for yourself. And I had never,

ever thought about doing that. I mean, you know, I always like to say I'm an old school reader. It's

just like shuffle, whatever comes up. And this kind of blew my mind. And so I want to know, how did you come up

with this concept of pulling carts face up? I mean, why would someone do that?

It was actually a whole evolution of things. The very first one was the first time I taught a

tarot class, a university in Florida. Right after that, I was asked to be interviewed by the paper.

And so when I went in to talk to them of course I was very nervous and I knew they would

ask about cards so I had arranged cards that I could lay out in like helped it cross

spread because they were to take photos and everything that were the exact spread I would love to have

if they saw me perfectly, if they really appreciated everything I did, if they saw this wonderful

person, perfect depth. Basically, it's a magic spread. And so I had that laid out for
