Welcome to the Fox Across America Game Bowl podcast, brought to you, of course, by the fine folks at Fox Across America.

And every week when I give this little trophy out to the interview that, I don't know, resonated with me the most or made me laugh the hardest or taught the audience something we didn't know.

You know, it's a real sliding scale when it comes to criteria.

And I say that every week at the top of the podcast. You know, some weeks it's, that was funny. Some weeks it's, look,

your uncle Jimmy's really hung over and he just needs to get this podcast recorded. I'm not going to

lie. You got the highest security clearance in the administration. I tell you everything. And nobody gets

on the air on this show, you know, claiming to be a solid citizen, someone who has his life together.

The point is, I am a flawed hot mess.

That's what makes this show work is we're not here to judge or cast aspersions.

We are here to have a good time and talk about the issues, take them serious without taking ourselves serious.

And, of course, salute greatness when we see it.

This week on our show, we were witness to greatness, Trey Yankst, who is a foreign correspondent here

at Fox News, who has been in literally hundreds of war zones around the world and reported

on all types of adversities. He stopped by the studio in person on Thursday

to take us inside the experience of covering the war in Ukraine. And we're talking about an experience

that saw two of his coworkers die and him witness unspeakable atrocities at the hands of Vladimir

Putin. This is probably the most serious thing we've ever done on this show.

And the gravity of it was just so inescapable in the moment that I did want to share it with

everybody because I'll tell you the one thing that I always try to do on the show is give

everybody perspective.

I try to remind everybody like, hey, we're really lucky.
