Well, well, well, you made it to Saturday one day away from the Super Bowl.

The Super Bowl I bring up why this is not traditionally a sports show, but your radio buddy,

Jimmy Fala, grew up, I got to tell you, in a big Super Bowl house.

When I was a kid for as far back as I can remember, the first Super Bowl party I can

remember specifically was the Raiders beating the Washington Redskins in 1983.

It was the year Marcus Allen won the Super Bowl.

I was in first grade in Mrs. Shamenti's class.

And I had bet my teacher, who was a Washington Redskins fan. I know you're not supposed to say that.

People get offended by the word Washington. But Mrs. Shamenti had bet me a plastic football helmet,

that if the Raiders won, she had to buy the whole class of plastic football helmet. Those helmets they used to sell in the gumball machines.

I probably had to get her more booze for her flask.

But the point is the Raiders won, and I became a god in the first grade
