I never talked that quickly after the piano starts, but I was chomping at that bit, some people

say champing at the bit.

Maybe that's a British thing, and it's a reference to horses of course, they have a bit

in their mouths.

I think I learned as an adult was a thing that hurts them, and that's how you control

them.

And was that any different than how we all control each other, with pain.

My mother's theory was that horses were not terribly smart animals because they allowed
