So I grew up in northwest Ohio, my hometown is called Fremont, Ohio and that's an agricultural

community. The town for the most part is is predominantly white. You know there's

also a sizable African American community but there really wasn't a ton of diversity in the town when I was growing up.

I would say the Latino community was probably of the different groups that were living there. We were probably the smallest group or population that was represented.

And you know one of the things that was really significant to me growing up

was that many of us went to the same church.
