This is the Fox News Run Down Extra.

I'm Jessica Rosenthal. This week we spoke with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. at the

independent candidate running for president. We talked about recent polling

including Fox News polling that had him in single digits in certain swing states, as well as his plans for the

campaign. But he also has this new documentary out called Recovering America, and

while overdose deaths in 2023 declined a bit, still this is how over 100,000 Americans

died that year. Kennedy himself was an addict he used heroin for years after his

father's death and is a believer in recovery programs as well as going to meetings.

But we talked about his ideas to treat addiction and how becoming an addict in the first place

intersects with a lack of a support system.

As far as more short-term solutions for limiting the drug supply in this country, we also discussed

his detailed plans for the border, which he says he shut down immediately.
