to be an assault on the capital and a decapitation of that country's leadership. Throughout Ukraine,

there is fear and there is shock as well as anger and defiance. Ukraine's 44-year-old

president, who last night said his target number one of the invasions, stood on a street

with Russian forces also advancing on Kiev from the north, according to the Ukrainian military

and heavy fighting now reported south of the city. Expect more to come on this as the

or incidentally, we can't say this is an apartment complex in Kiev, hit earlier today.

And an American official tells CNN that the Biden administration believes that Russia

will threaten to kill families of Ukrainian soldiers if they do not surrender. Meantime

on the streets of Kiev, residents, ordinary people are taking up arms. And as Russian

troops moved in the north of the city, the Ukrainian defense ministry tweeted for citizens

to quote, make Molotov cocktails and take down the occupier. Outside Ukraine, for the first
