It's time for a new story.

I suggest that the stories we need turned up right on time about 5,000 years ago.

We need a new story. We didn't just dream our carefully individuated thoughts. We got dreamt. Some say that the sky has a language, that the stars and planets are its letters in its

monolithic cyclical patterns, the grammatical structure.

Astrologers read the sequence of human events and experiences from its

text, its stories when told here on events and experiences from its text.

Its stories, when told here on Earth, reproduce the events described in the skies.

The pattern of light above rearranges the world below.

Though the permanent can be said to be a text, it is not a stone tablet, but a living tone.

It is a constantly changing grimoire, an ever-changing book of spells written in the language of angels,

demons, gods, and monsters.

Like all such books of magic, its text embodied specific powers available to the magician, diviner, and sorcerer.

The apprehension of these powers in their effective translation from potential to active

comprises the celestial art.

Yet this art has become rare indeed.

Recent centuries have not been kind to astrology, nor to magic.

In addition to their individual abuse at the hands of history,

the two have also become estranged,

impoverishing the and limiting them both. Fortunately, the recent Renaissance in each

field has served not only to restore them individually but also to reveal their historical, practical, and conceptual entanglement.

Though conceived by hermetists as Sister sciences. The relationship is not that of siblings, but of lovers.
