I'm your host, retired NYPD sergeant, Bill Cannon, a 27-year veteran of the NYPD. A lot of questions, of course,

in the death of Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa. Now, you know, the police in New Mexico,

the Santa Fe, New Mexico Sheriff's Office there handling this investigation.

And it's very possible that these deaths will come back as accidental or, you know, drug overdose or inhalation of some type of gas but not necessarily foul play

and it seems of course that most of the media has been jumping to the foul play thing but

they were they were dead for a long time. Well, you know, is maybe a week to two weeks. It's been reported that the body of Betsy, the wife Betsy, Irakara, was mummified.

And Mr. Hackman, Gene Hackman's body was similar, similar.

You know, we call that decomposition.

And some of the things also that may throw some folks off

is that the police got a search warrant to search the house.

That's not unusual, Just to process a potential crime

scene, most police jurisdictions will get a search warrant in case anyone in the house later on

claims that they had an expectation of privacy and we searched their room or something and

So the police always apply to even to process a crime scene for a search warrant.

Now, some things have been reported, and we're going to go over some of the things and what

But so many folks are jumping to immediately foul play, and they want to hear that word,
