But first, Instagram Head Adam Ocere confirmed the company is testing a feature called Flipside,

an experiment that would essentially turn users Finstas, their separate, private, and

more personal accounts into a new product feature. Flip-Side was first spotted in development last year,

but Instagram said it was only an internal prototype at the time.

Now, the company will begin testing the feature with users to see how they respond,

MacSare said. Still, the exact caution that a test doesn't mean a future will launch publicly.

That remains to be seen. Meta additionally confirmed to Tech Runch that the future is in testing.

Meanwhile, ahead of a major congressional hearing about children's online safety, Meta has announced

the collaboration with the Center for Open Science, a non-profit dedicated to transparency

in academic research. As part of this pilot program, Meta says it will share privacy preserving social media data

with select academic researchers who study well-being.
