Chapter 9.

And the Lord said to Moses, go to Pharaoh and you shall say to him,

Thus says the Lord God of the Hebrews, let my people go so they may serve me.

But if you refuse to let them go and still hold them, behold, the hand of the Lord will be on your cattle in the fields, on the horses, the donkeys, the camels, the oxen, and the sheep, a very severe pestilence.

Then I will make a clear distinction between the cattle of Israel, the cattle of Egypt.

So nothing shall die of all that belongs to the children of Israel.

So he says, okay,

you got another chance.

Let them go. If not,

I'm sending a disease on your animals.

I'm going to wipe out your animals.

And just to make it clear what's going on,

none of the animals that belong to the Israelites

are going to die just years.

So that's the, it's a pestilence.

They're going to get sick and they're going to die.

Why is that so important?

Well, if they die sick, you can't eat them.

And you can't use the leather and you can't write.
