We'll go ahead and get started. We're going to get started

here. Just a moment. We're picking up in Exodus chapter 7. We're going to be picking up with verse

14. So last time we read about sort of the beginning of the conflict between, well, on the surface,

it's a conflict between Moses and Aaron and one side and Pharaoh, assisted by his priests on the other side.

But really, we've seen this is really a conflict between god and pharaoh and by extension between

god and the gods of egypt that's starting to play out right so we saw how finally moses

reconnected with erin they went to egypt they gave ph to the demand, then he let the people go temporarily

first. Pharaoh not only said no, he made life worse for all of the Hebrew people, which caused them to

not be big fans of Moses and Aaron. Nonetheless, right, God sent them back and they persisted, though Moses is still

waffling an awful lot.

And finally they came back and said, okay, look, even though God kept telling them, no, no,

I know, he's not going to listen, right?

They came back and Moses and Aaron showed Pharaoh sort of the miraculous signs that Moses had been

given, particularly the one with turning the rod into the snake, and he had sort of the

wizard duel with the priests who also turned theirs into snakes, but his snake ate their snakes.

And that still was not enough.

Pharaoh didn't care.

The priests were able to do close enough.

So he's like, ah, these are just tricks, right?
