Okay, we're going to go ahead and get started.

When we get started here in just a moment, we're going to be picking up in the beginning of Exodus Chapter 16.

Are we going to recap?

No.

It's been a while.

No, we're just going to.

So, yeah, so for people listening to this recording later, it's going to be like, no time has passed.

You're just going to go from one to the next.

For the people here in person, it's been like two months. So, but fortunately, we're at an easy place to recap because what we talked about last time, actually, was the crossing of the Red Sea by Moses and the Israelites at the end of the Exodus proper.

Like the Exodus is in the event, not the book of Exodus, the end of the book of Exodus, but the end of the Exodus proper, like the Exodus is in the event, not the book of exit,

the end of the book of Exodus, but the end of the event of the Israelites being brought out of Egypt.

They crossed the Red Sea after it was parted, as if on dry ground.

And then in chapter 15, we read the song of the Sea, the song that the Israelites sung,

which we talked about.

That's the first biblical ode, which shows up, of course, in the canon in Matins.

We talked about all that stuff last time, many moons ago, or two moons ago, I guess, for the folks here.

And so now we have quite literally come out the other side, right, of the Red Sea.

Pharaoh's armies have been defeated.

And now the Israelites are in the Sinai wilderness on their way to Mount Sinai.
