So we'll go ahead and get started. When we get started, we're going to pick up in Exodus

Chapter 13, verse 1. I have a medium degree of confidence in that, but someone will inform me

if I'm wildly wrong, because it's been a couple of weeks and some things happened.

I was partied to the world's weirdest fashion show.

But so we are in between two things,

and I don't know if we'll get to the second thing tonight.

We'll see what happens.

But right now, we have read about sort of the Exodus proper.

Right.

And we've read about Israel actually leaving Egypt and the Passover, the actual event, right? the death of the firstborn we've read about,

but we're not at the Red Sea yet.

So we're in this space in between.

And the actual event of the Passover and the Exodus,

as we saw,

was kind of flanked by God talking about the Passover,

specifically talking about the future liturgical celebration of the Passover,

both before and after it happened.

Here's how this event is to be commemorated, meaning remembered together, meaning

participated in by future generations.
