So I got my hands on internal FDA documents, which are now public, that explain the process of how a drug gets an emergency

use authorization. Just to explain to you what an emergency use authorization means,

it's a gold mine for any pharmaceutical company

because usually it takes 10 years to bring a drug to market, right, and millions of dollars

in fees. But in cases of unusual situations like a pandemic with no known treatment, the FDA

has a mechanism in place

that allows you to circumvent that entire process

and go from lab to human use immediately.

And I can understand that

because if there's no other answer,

what are you going to do?

But if there is an answer,

then no other drug is eligible for that. Yeah, so if there is an answer, then no other drug is eligible for that.

Yeah.

So if there's an answer to the problem, then another drug can't be given emergency use authorization for it.
