an arrest has finally been made in the brutal double homicide of Spencer and Monique Tepe.

This afternoon, we break down what led police to arrest the ex-husband, Michael McKee.

I'm Sergeant Bill Cannon, retired NYPD.

Tonight, this afternoon, we're focusing on the arrest of Michael McKee, the ex-husband of Monique Teppe, and the murders of Monique and her husband, Spencer

Tepe, a case that has shaken Columbus, Ohio, and drawn national attention.

Law enforcement confirmed that Michael McKee was taken into custody and formerly charged in connection

with the double homicide. In fact,

we can show you at this point his booking photo there. There's his booking photo where he was placed

under arrest on 110, 20, 26 at 1157 a.m. So he is under arrest for the double murders of Monique and Spencer

Teppi. And again, this arrest came after an intensive multi-day investigation during which

detectives worked relentlessly to reconstruct the

couple's final hours and identify who had both motive and opportunity. Police have never

characterized this as a random act. This was a targeted personal crime and investigators treated it that way from the very beginning.

Why investigators focused on McKee?

Well, from an investigative standpoint, former spouses are always examined early, not because
