The Trump administration's efforts to combat crime in the nation's capital are far from over.

Daily Wire's senior editor, Cabot Phillips, has the latest.

The National Guard is now armed and permitted to detain suspects around D.C.

At the moment, there are over 2,200 Guard members patrolling key transit hubs and streets as backup for D.C. police.

Critics call it federal overreach, but the White House says it's about protecting federal assets and keeping residents safe.

President Trump is also putting other cities with high crime on notice.

Specifically, Baltimore, New York, and Chicago could be next if they do not get crime under

control.
