President Trump is slapping India with more hefty tariffs. In a social media post, the president slammed India for buying large volumes of Russian oil

and reselling it for profit, saying they don't care about Ukrainian lives.

And while the president did not specify how much the new tariffs would be, he said he

would be substantially raising the tariff paid by India to the USA.

The new penalties follow last week's announcement of a

25% tariff on Indian imports. Those took effect on the first. Trump also criticized India's

reliance on Russian military equipment and what he called unfair trade barriers. Meanwhile,

the European Union is hitting pause on a new wave of tariffs on American goods.
