October 7th, 2025, I'm Tanya J. Powers. It's been two years since the Hamas attack in Israel led to the war in Gaza.

And while many of the hostages taken have been released, some haven't been.

One woman who lost members of her family in the attack has made it her mission to fight for their freedom.

It's just unbelievable that it's two years.

And while we're speaking, there's still 48 people being held hostage.

This is the Fox News Rundown, evening edition.

Two years after the deadly Hamas terror attack in Israel that left more than 1,200 dead and more than 250 taken as hostages,

the war in Gaza continues. Many families have been forever altered, and some people have found

their life's focus

changed by it. One of those personally touched by the tragedy began fighting to free a family

member, a toddler who'd been taken hostage, and she has since become a voice for those who remain

in the hands of Hamas. My niece and her husband were murdered in front of their three children at their home

on October 7th. Liz Hirschneftali is a hostage and humanitarian advocate and the author of

Saving Abigail, the true story of the abduction and rescue of a three-year-old hostage. So for me,

it's actually really chilling. And as a hostage advocate, you know, I've spent two years, Abigail, their child was then

taken hostage.

Their other two children spent 14 hours in a closet alone with their mother's dead body

next to them until they could be rescued.

And then Abigail was taken as a hostage. And so for me,

that day is so loaded and so awful. And I was in Israel. And I just remember being so helpless

and just thinking there was nothing I could do at that moment other than tell people who were
