The U.S. government has started evacuating diplomats and their families from the U.S. Embassy in Israel,

wrote on X that the embassy was making plans to evacuate private American citizens, too.

But the State Department says it doesn't have any announcement about that yet and is still

encouraging people to leave the country on their own

by land crossings. When it comes to the American military, President Trump says he hasn't made up his mind about whether he order forces to join Israeli attacks on Iran, saying, quote, I like to make a final decision one second before it's due. The president also says he delivered the ultimate ultimatum to Iranian leaders to

dismantle their nuclear program, but that Iran has shown no interest in doing so. Earlier in the day,

Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah rejected Trump's call for an unconditional surrender and said

any American military intervention would be met with, quote, irreparable damage. Though another senior diplomat told the New York

Times, Iran was still open to negotiations, Trump also suggested it's not too late for diplomacy.
