Dream Team indeed. So what will the Dream Team be discussing tonight? We have the media's reaction

to better European cooperation with China. Another House of Lords member is caught up in a

lobbying scandal and Ash Sarka pours cold water on the two-tier policing row on politics live onto our

first story. The leaders of all 27 European Union countries have been holding crisis talks in

Brussels today. They're there to work out a pan-European defence plan after all the signs from

Washington suggests the continent will lose U.S. military

backing as the country's president Donald Trump seeks a realignment with Russia.

And Russia is very much, in the minds of those EU leaders, the bloc's greatest threat,

spurring on European plans to rearm the continent.

In a television address last night, French President Emmanuel

Macron appeared to sound the drums of war. Russia, through all this time, is continuing

to arm, spending more than 40% of its budget to that end. By 2030, Russia plans to increase its army to have

300,000 additional soldiers, 3,000 rather extra jet fighters who can believe that in this context,

Russia will stop at Ukraine.

Russia has become and will remain a threat to France and Europe. It is something I deeply regret.

But in the long term, peace will return to our continent with a pacified Russia.

But we have to look at the situation before us.
