Summary

Day two of the European Championships was a tough one for the soccer community, where sporting events were overshadowed by near-tragedy in Copenhagen as Denmark's Christian Eriksen collapsed on the field.

Ryan, Taylor, Graham and Joe convene to process the incident—and show thanks to the players, officials and medical teams who helped save the midfielder's life.

Also, the team look at the games in Baku and St. Petersburg, where a plucky Wales side managed to hold Switzerland to a draw, and Belgium thoroughly outclassed Russia without getting into top gear.

It's day two.

0:27.0

It's been quite a day, a day on which we were given a pretty good reminder that soccer is the most important of the least important things to quote Juergen Klopp there.

0:35.7

And it wasn't very important today in all honesty due to what happened on the field in Copenhagen in Denmark's 1-0 loss to Finland. The

match being suspended just before halftime when Christian Erickson collapsed on the field. The events

were pretty shocking to watch. They brought to mind the incident in 2012 of Fabrice Wamba on the

field and Mark Vivine Fouye back in 2003,

of course. I would say personally, my name's Ryan Bailey, by the way, one of the most upsetting

live moments I've personally ever seen on TV. The game was suspended for, sorry, games was

suspended after around 10 minutes with Erickson in hospital and

giving positive signs. The teams both decided to restart. I'll bring in the other members of

1:18.4

the TSS team now joining me today. Mr. Taylor Rocco, how are you, sir? I'm doing all right. It's been

1:23.5

a strange day. We were at my niece's birthday party and I stepped out to like say hello. And then my brother-in-law said like, hey man, you might want to come back in here and watch this. And I was like, oh, did something happen? And he was like, um, yeah, but there were a bunch of little kids around. So he was trying not to say basically like, I think somebody might be dying. So he was trying to do it discreetly while getting kids out of the room.

1:45.2

So that was sort of my introduction to that.

1:47.4

And then not knowing what happened, texting with you all, definitely a frightening, sobering, reality, like reminding sort of moment, as you've already indicated, Ryan.

1:57.6

Very much so indeed.

1:59.0

Joseph Lowry, how are you doing today, sir?

2:02.0

I am thankful, Ryan. I'm thankful every day but especially today I think to to be able to talk about

2:06.5

some of this stuff with you guys but as you said Ryan to be reminded that there are many

2:10.8

more important things in life than soccer so yeah Graham Rutherford you're joining us

2:15.0

today welcome hello Ryan how are you I'm feeling a little bit drained.
