All right, my friends, here's the way I see the situation and I'm going to move the thing

around there.

A little bit of clunken.

There we go.

We spent two days talking about Heyman's ethnic background in Esther chapter three.

We've just been introduced to the main big villain of the whole thing.

We don't totally know why he's bad yet because his modern audience members, and he just

don't think of the same categories as the original audience.

But I think the original audience was supposed to receive a hint that he's a bad guy and

that he's a problem just by the fact that he's described as being an agigite because

the author of Esther gives us this great thing that Mordecai, the Jew, does, and then

right after that, the wrong person gets credit and we're told that he's an agigite, whatever

that means.

So the last couple days, you and I have taken a stunning amount of time.

I do that.

Sorry, it's 10 minutes ish, right?

And we went back through a bunch of stuff in the Old Testament and worst case scenario.

You and I just spent two days looking at a whole bunch of really important stories that

are very formative for the earlier parts of the Old Testament.

And we refreshed our minds on some of that stuff.

And now we're more clear on how the whole narrative of the whole thing hangs together.
