And before I get started, there were a couple of things that they told me that were important things for me to remember when I do this.

And there are like four.

One was my sobriety date.

My sobriety date is January 25th, 2002.

So I have a little over 10 years of sobriety. My home group is the Alpharetta Unity Group. It's in Alpharetta, Georgia. If you're ever in Alpharetta, we meet Monday through Saturday at 12 noon.

And it is a bunch of old timers, so be careful

when you come in.

And then my sponsor.

My sponsor is Kathy Inn and my last drink.

Those were the things that they told me were the most important things for me to know.

And if I didn't know them, then I wasn't sober.

So I got sober when I was 22. I'm going to be 33 this year, which is really old,

but I never, ever, ever, ever thought that I would make it past 16. And so it's truly a miracle

for me to be here today.

When I came into the rooms, I was a junior or a sophomore in college,

and I came in because I was dating this guy at the time,

and he told me it was either him or the booze,

and I didn't want to lose him. Ironically, I'm following the singles panel, so we'll get there in a minute.
