by one of my other favorite authors and they're both just deeply lovely humans this

one is a real treat. The story comes from Isi Wasserstein. Isi teaches writing and literature at the Midwestern University, writes poetry and fiction,

and her work has appeared in Clarksville, Fireside magazine, Pseudopod, and elsewhere.
