From the land of the free and the home of the chiefs, this is the

locked on chiefs podcast. Another day, another locked on chiefs, and another big move

to talk about and we are taking one more risk that we're recording at

four o'clock in the afternoon on Wednesday because this is just too big to

wait on so if something else comes up folks you know the drill you'll hear

something else from us later but

uh Chris and I are about to go through the ups downs ins out and everything that we

can take away from the Eric Berry release. The two most tenured defenders on this

roster are now out of Kansas City. I won't be surprised if they end up

together somewhere in ATL but that's just my thought but

Does it surprise you at all that Eric Berry's just been outright released?

No.

And I say that because to me the team played this like it was going to be something that they had to make, a move they had to make.

You look at what Eric Berry's meant to this franchise and I, he was one of my favorite players for the chiefs of all time.

He's up there probably with

Derek Thomas when I was a little kid. The problem is is that he put them in a

horrible situation last year. They felt he could play play he didn't feel he could play and
