Today's Bible teacher is Dr. Chuck Missler, connecting the Bible to your life and the world around you.

This series is entitled, Learn the Bible in 24 hours.

In today's study, Dr. Missler begins his session entitled, Revelation Part 2.

Well, we are in our 23 of Learned the Bible in 24 hours, in which we will attempt to go from

Revelation chapter 4 to the end of the book

chapter 22.

You may recall that Revelation is one of the unique books that gives you the outline of the book.

In verse 19 of chapter 1, John is told, to write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are,

and the things which shall be metatata hereafter, or after these things. It's past, present, and future tense in effect.

What he is seen, and what's passed at this point by verse 19 of chapter 1, is the vision of Christ.

And every little label, every detail in that vision is used then as an identity somewhere later in the book.

And some of the identities are very obvious, some are very subtle.

Then he says, write the things which are that actually exist now, and that's obviously

the seven churches. This will be chapters two and three are seven letters penned by Jesus Christ

to seven churches. When we count epistles, we often say there's 21 epistles, 14 ascribed

to John and seven others. And no, there's actually another seven that often get overlooked.

And that's the ones by Jesus himself in chapters two and three.

Probably the richest material in the entire book.

But at this point, we're going to see what shall be hereafter, what follows after the churches.

And the word hereafter in the Greek is metatouta.
